Jamal Adams Gets Traded To The Seahawks

Another day, another blockbuster trade.

It finally happened. After an offseason of complaining and conflict, Jamal Adams finally got his wish. He’s being traded to the Jets in exchange for Bradley McDougald, a 2021 first-round pick, a 2021 third-round pick, and a 2022 first-round pick. The Seahawks are also getting a 2022 fourth-round pick.

Right off the bat, this trade feels like a win for the Jets. They put themselves in a terrible position with the whole Jamal Adams scenario by waiting this long. It was obvious that Adams didn’t want to play in New York, and the recent news with the Jets owner only made things worse. However, they were able to get two firsts and a third for Adams, which is a huge haul, even for a player like Adams.

The Jets have to make sure that they do something good with these picks. Jamal Adams is their best player, and Bradley McDougald isn’t going to replace him. They have to make these picks work in order for this trade to be worth it.

For the Seahawks, this is an alright trade. With Russell Wilson, the Seahawks were always going to be playoff contenders. With Adams, this team feels like it’s making a run for the Super Bowl. They gave up an immense amount of value for Adams, but if they win a Super Bowl, it’ll be worth it.

This trade hinges on the success of the Seahawks. If they win a Super Bowl or even go to a Super Bowl, the Seahawks win this trade. If they don’t, then the Seahawks lose this trade, so the Jets would win the trade.

I don’t think the Seahawks will win a Super Bowl after this trade. Their division is just too good, and Jamal Adams probably won’t be enough to turn the Seahawks into the best team in the league.

However, this one guaranteed winner in this trade: Jamal Adams. He left a terrible Jets team to go to the Seahawks, who are a much better team. He’s also probably going to get paid after the Seahawks gave up a ton of value for him.

Jamal Adams picks up the dub, but for everyone else? Well, we’re just going to have to wait and see.
